The Carolina Theater was inspired by a black and white photo taken by the artist's cousin Gene back in the 40's. Blue Sky added color and details from his memories of the old Columbia South Carolina theaters and created a series of three works. The marquee' s were depicted as were shown at the time of the photograph.
