Artist's Description
The original idea came to the artist Blue Sky because he liked the sounds of the words Nude and Dome together. He was given a private tour of the dome and sized it up. He knew the woman depicted on the dome would be over life-sized. Painted on 3 wooden doors, the division in the doors is visible as they are butted together, so be aware that this is not a flaw in the work.
About Blue Sky
Blue Sky was born Warren Edward Johnson in Columbia, South Carolina (1938). Sky has painted professionally for over 55 years, and is solely supported by his art since 1970. His works are in the Smithsonian and many other museums. He is best known for his trompe l'oeil mural and masterpiece, TUNNELVISION (1975).
