A major portion of Blue Sky's oeuvre are night scenes so it's no surprise he chose to depict the Tybee Island Lighthouse on the Georgia coast in beautiful evening light. Built in 1773 this is the oldest lighthouse in Georgia.
About Blue Sky
Blue Sky was born Warren Edward Johnson in Columbia, South Carolina (1938). Sky has painted professionally for over 55 years, and is solely supported by his art since 1970. His works are in the Smithsonian and many other museums. He is best known for his trompe l'oeil mural and masterpiece, TUNNELVISION (1975).
