Artist's Description
"Zen Transport" -- When U ship Zen, It's already there!
With the usual mastery of skill and humor in his work, in
"Zen Transport," Blue Sky brings us a continuation of his series of
Interstate Landscapes. Since the late 1960's he has utilized this award winning and highly collected unique and original theme. This theme has proven to be significant in the culmination of the urban singularity present in his work and recognized as a rare mark of trademark and originality in Contemporary art. As a two-dimensional painting it is appreciably and historically important in his oeuvre.
With "Zen Transport", as with his other trucks, he incorporates the
richness of texture and ideas, creating a layering of time.
The viewer can come back time and again and discover nuances first missed such as the "Country Girl Molasses" fictitious logo,
the "Highly Aesthetic Material" warning label, the scrawled graffiti "When U ship Zen, It's already there." Drawn from both memories...
