Old Dome metal print by Blue Sky. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
I got very experimental with the techniques in this painting. I'm always trying something new. Over the years I've done many paintings of this beautiful dome on the South Carolina State House. Shortly after I completed this one, the Confederate flag was taken down off of the capital building and put on a monument on the grounds. Then the entire dome was refurbished with a new layer of copper so it lost that beautiful patina it had that I loved so much. There is now a minuscule bare hint of the green coming back to the dome.
