Artist's Description
Busted Plug Plaza was commissioned by the Federal Land Bank and completed and unveiled in the year 2000. It is the world's largest fire hydrant at 39 feet tall. The artist created the work to honor fire fighters and his father, Jesse Johnson, who was a fire fighter all his life and eventually became South Carolina's first state fire marshal.
