Artist's Description
The Student Alumni Association at the University of South Carolina - my alma mater, asked me to do a mural of the Horseshoe. I had already painted the other side of the Horsehoe - the heart of campus, so I chose to depict the other side of the beautiful campus, but also including the famous Maxcy Monument. The mural is 22 feet long.
About Blue Sky
Blue Sky was born Warren Edward Johnson in Columbia, South Carolina (1938). Sky has painted professionally for over 55 years, and is solely supported by his art since 1970. His works are in the Smithsonian and many other museums. He is best known for his trompe l'oeil mural and masterpiece, TUNNELVISION (1975).
