Artist's Description
The fabled Maxcy Monument is pictured here - a detail from a mural at the university commissioned by the Student Alumni Association. The monument is located on the beautiful original part of the campus on the Horseshoe and it is doubtful than any student attending the university is not familiar with it and it's legend.
About Blue Sky
Blue Sky was born Warren Edward Johnson in Columbia, South Carolina (1938). Sky has painted professionally for over 55 years, and is solely supported by his art since 1970. His works are in the Smithsonian and many other museums. He is best known for his trompe l'oeil mural and masterpiece, TUNNELVISION (1975).
