Product Details

Neverbust metal print by Blue Sky.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Welded steel sculpture connecting two historic buildings in Columbia, SC - the Kress Building and the Sylvan Building.

Integrated Chain Sculpture

Diameter: 5 feet
Installed 2000

Sky conceived and installed "NEVERBUST" in 2000, commissioning and funding the entire project himself. The chain is comprised of true welded steel, with the words "NEVERBUST" emblazoned across the center links. The idea was preceded by Sky's installed exhibit "Space Lace" at the Columbus Museum circa 1972. A chain ten feet in height, "Space Lace" ran vertically and appeared to hold the roof onto the building.

Fearing censorship by the city but with the approval of the owners of both buildings he surreptitiously installed "NEVERBUST" early on a Sunday morning. Because it chains two historic buildings together and hovers over city property, the city of Columbia's Landmarks Co...
