Blue Sky and his wife were stranded on Ocracoke Island during stormy weather one year when the ferries had to quit running. They made the best of it, staying at the Ocracoke Inn and occasionally staying in the artist's 1971 Volkswagen poptop camper. Blue created this large work of art when they returned home.
